It has certainly been an interesting market to sell in, and took a little longer than anticipated to make the sale, but Colin got the job done!
Before we put the house on the market, Colin was good at advising me on how to prepare for the showings.
The sales materials and website he developed were certainly effective in attracting many prospective buyers to view the property.
Inside the house, he helped to ensure features were highlighted by the way they were displayed, and signage. The backyard with the garden and accent lighting were one of the property attractions and when we initially put my home on the market in April, it was hard to visualize how it would look with everything blooming, so Colin set up an electronic picture frame, with a continuous loop showcasing the yard with pictures from the previous year.
Throughout the time the house was on the market, Colin was excellent at monitoring visitors to the website and statistics for sales in the area, following up with REALTORS® who had viewed the property and developing a good rapport with several whose clients showed an interest in the property and keeping me informed of their feedback.
After the first month, I was worried that we weren’t getting any offers despite the many showings, and Colin worked with me to make some adjustments to our selling strategy.
In the end, everything worked out and both the buyer and I were very happy with the sale, which closed very quickly and smoothly.
